Role Description

The quality role is an integral part of Form Energy and will ensure that all products meet customer and company requirements. Specifically, the Associate Quality Manager, IQC is responsible for developing inspection standards, sampling plans, and process flows required to effectively ensure incoming components are acceptable for production.

Responsibilities of this role also include driving continual product and process improvements as well as specifying and maintaining the IQC area, tools, and equipment. You will work with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Suppliers and Operations to address and improve quality/reliability and manufacturability issues. Work will require leading a team of technicians and participating in cross-functional teams.

This is a very hands-on role that requires individual contribution as well as leadership. To be effective, you will need to be intimately familiar with the technical requirements and functionality of chemical, electro-mechanical assemblies and the tools and equipment used in their development and production.

This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Weirton, WV facility. Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:
  • Evaluate and communicate team performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement

  • Work with Supplier Quality Engineering to develop inspection standards including developing and analyzing measurement methods and sampling plans

  • Assist in the identification and resolution of manufacturing quality issues

  • Analyze and publish measurement results for cross-functional team members

  • Organize and plan inspection activities to maximize resource utilization

What you'll bring:
  • 5 to 10 years of quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experienced in ISO9001, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, CAD

  • Strong aptitude with electronic test and measurements systems

  • Advanced understanding of measurement system analysis, sampling plans, and hypothesis testing

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams

  • Structured problem-solving (8D) and analytical skills, including strong technical skills in statistical tools, Design of Experiments (DOE), Process Capability (Cpk, Ppk), etc.

  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while remaining detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage, synthesize, and interpret data

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar fields is a plus
