Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) helps architects, designers, specifiers and installers achieve their own groundbreaking ideas using our Reynobond | Reynolux products. We serve the market with a manufacturing facility in Eastman, Georgia USA which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America. We have an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician to support our Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) business. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the QC Tech is responsible for monitoring, testing and documentation to verify that all Finished Product is within specifications. Responsibilities:
- Follow instruction, demonstration and procedures to ensure finished product is within specifications, including the visual monitoring of laminated material moving on the conveyor for defects, and conducting quality checks on sampled material
- Knowledge of specifications and tolerances for all products produced
- Understand the operation of and perform FR testing with Omnimark Moisture Test Machine
- Performing QC Inspector's 5 Station Rotation inspection, notifies QC, Production and Product Manager as to product status, places rejected product on quality hold, use of Odd/Even sample cuts to check gauge and adhesion, cut samples using metal shear, identifies retain samples, T-peel tests to record pull strengths from Tinius pull charts, checks gauge with micrometers, completing tasks required if a new coil is assigned to an order
- Completes checklists, reports and logs as required and some as needed
- Adheres to housekeeping requirements for work area
- Adhere to AAP policy and safety rules, regulations and procedures
- Understands Teamwork Concept (Group of employees with a common goal/goals and ownership of shared responsibility to achieve set goal/goals)
- Training includes written procedures and instructions, on the job training and shadowing incumbent Quality Tech/Inspector operators

Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one-year prior work experience
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred:
- 3+ years' experience in quality/ production or manufacturing environment
- Proficient with MS Office Applications
- Prior production experience with AAP-Eastman
