Network Engineer - 24-019 - San Diego, California

AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members working in the Point Loma area of San Diego, California.

Plan and engineer network architecture/infrastructure. Support the implementation and design of network architectures/infrastructures. Use concepts, best practices, related Networking concepts related to networking hardware/software, to include LAN, WAN, Wireless and Information Assurance technologies/architectures. Develop network designs, network test plans/reports and use advanced troubleshooting skills for enterprise level trouble tickets.

  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Current Security+ CE certification required.
  • CCNA or CCNP must be obtained within 60 days of the start date.
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science or related field from an accredited college/university and 5+ years of network engineering experience.
  • Experience with configuration, handling and troubleshooting of HAIPE equipment (KG175D, KG175G & KG250x).
  • Experience working and troubleshooting network protocols, e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, VRRP, Spanning-tree MST.
  • Experience with network STIGs and familiarity with DoD hardening network equipment.
  • Experience in design work, design documentation and test execution in support of a design.
  • Experience with network sniffers and network packet captures.
  • Experience with network testing tools, traffic generators and latency generators.
  • Experience within ADNS is a plus!
  • Firm understanding of Multicast and WAN Acceleration.
  • Able to clearly document and deliver technical reports to senior leadership.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills to support ECR-test plans, reports, implementation plans, SOVTs and other reports.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal skills.
  • Works well independently or in teams with other network engineers based on customer's/project's needs.

Salary Range: $100K-135K

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.

AUSGAR's salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
