JOB DESCRIPTION Rite-Hite is the global leader in the manufacture, sale, service and installation of loading dock equipment, vehicle restraints, high speed doors, high volume, low speed fans and much more - all design to improve industrial safety, security, productivity, design, environmental control, and energy consumption. Due to extensive growth, Rite-Hite Doors Inc. has an opening for an Inside Sales Representative at our new headquarters in Milwaukee's Fifth Ward. This position will support overall sales efforts for assigned areas through direct sales, technical assistance, quoting and overall communication with outside sales personnel and customers. Additional job duties are listed below. Please apply via Rite-Hite's career website. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The exact duties may vary based on assigned area, depending on the product line, sales organization, and customer base. Professionally handle all incoming calls, emails, and web traffic. Manage incoming leads. Determine the appropriate person to respond to the customer, qualify the lead (including verifying that the application is suitable for the products being considered), and, where appropriate, preparing a quote and/or entering an order. Assist outside sales personnel in managing leads, preparing quotes, etc. Provide basic trouble shooting and applications analysis, referring more advanced issues to the appropriate personnel. Satisfy routine information requests from customers and sales personnel, including providing owners manuals, technical information, parts information, product literature, etc. Establish and maintain productive relationships with key personnel within customer accounts and the sales organization. Ensure repetitive sales through the establishment of positive long-term customer relationships. Maintains customer and order information in the appropriate databases (Salesforce, etc.) Reviews construction documents, blueprints, specifications, and CAD drawings, as needed. Execute and support the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement. Support marketing efforts, such as via customer surveys, competitive and customer research, assisting in execution of marketing campaigns, etc. Participate in sales meetings to communicate and discuss major jobs with sales personnel. Prepare sales reports as needed. Provide assistance as needed with sales representative training, trade shows attendance, etc. May travel as required (up to 10%). PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Generate new business through proactive sales calls and lead follow up Provide effective support to outside sales personnel and customers Develop and maintain productive relationships with sales and customer personnel EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, etc. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
