Job Summary

Job Summary:

Banquet Manager will be the forefront of overseeing the day-to-day operations. This includes planning the layout and setup of each event, along with handling the staff (waiters, servers and other staff) that will cater to the guests. The responsibilities of the Banquet Manager are to maximize efficiency, while providing the best event experience to the guests. Planning and executing are the two major tasks that a Banquet Manager primarily performs. You will be responsible for managing client relations, along with ensuring that the food offered to the customers is of superior quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan the A-Z of the layout and set up of all banquet events.
  • Assign roles and duties to the staff, oversee decor, layouts, placements, and factors that add to the look and feel of the convention meeting rooms.
  • Onsite during the events to assist with special requests and queries that come from the guests.
  • Ensures that the food offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior quality
  • Maintains excellent relationships with employees, guests and Client as well as other departments within the operation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Associate's Degree preferred
  • Two to four years fine dining restaurant management experience is required
  • Comprehensive food and wine knowledge. Applicant should be well versed on food and wine pairings.
  • Requires operations management experience with purchasing knowledge.
  • Impeccable decision-making skills, excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including BEOs.
  • ServSafe Certified preferred
