Job Summary

The Sr. Director of Outside Plant Operations is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of products and services to customers through Network Performance. This includes maintaining the Platform of Choice and overseeing all activities related to HFC and Fiber Networks (both Upstream and Downstream), Network WiFi Installation and Support Maintenance, Outage Restoration, Scheduled Plant Maintenance, Compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, and FCC proofs including CLI Measurement, Detection, and Repair. The role requires managing a 24x7 operation capable of performing under adverse conditions and actively managing operating and capital costs while achieving specific service, performance, and project targets.

Responsibilities
  • Residency Requirement: The candidate must reside within the coverage area.
  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the development and execution of Engineering/Technical Operations strategy, policies, and procedures for all technicians.
  • Oversight: Oversee the entirety of OSP Engineering within the region.
  • Process and Technology Management: Oversee the development and management of processes, methods, and technologies used by employees and/or third-party vendors.
  • KPI Compliance: Responsible for Regional KPI compliance; develop and implement processes to improve negative trends.
  • Strategic Direction and Planning: Provide overall strategic direction, capital planning, and operational oversight to ensure high levels of engineering support for the company's network systems.
  • Project Management: Work with business leaders to identify high-priority projects, acquire necessary resources, and ensure decision-making aligns with strategic and business objectives.
  • Operational Support: Ensure processes are in place to support regional/local operational teams.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system, plant, and facility health and utilization, driving performance improvements and addressing risks, issues, and concerns.
  • Career Development: Responsible for career architecture development, support, and performance management for all outside plant team members in the region.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain successful relationships with internal and external business units.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree and/or NCTI Certification desired. Master's Degree preferred or equivalent experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 12+ years of industry experience, with a minimum of 8 years in management, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility within the organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing in an HFC/Fiber Network.
  • Proven successful experience in launching new products and services in the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and leadership.
