What You'll Do

ECS is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Manager (Director/VP level) to join our team in Texas. As a Regional Manager at ECS, you will embody a hands-on approach, demonstrating exceptional leadership and communication skills. You will excel in team and client interactions, adeptly solving problems, and making strategic decisions. You will lead and be a key member of a dynamic, growing, and energized team. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:

  • Lead the operations and staff of the Special Projects Program, working closely with various subsidiary groups
  • Responsible for the development, leadership, and profit/loss of the Special Projects Program, including client development and project execution, particularly within TXDOT and similar agencies.
  • Participate in regional trade associations, attend trade association conferences, and regional market segmentation groups to provide leadership and seek out project opportunities.
  • Evaluate market opportunities, trends, and successes in other regions and apply best management practices within your area where appropriate.
  • Direct, support, and mentor the Special Projects Program members within their region and subsidiary
  • Provide input for technical decisions, review of reports, proposals, project management, quality control, and standardization of reports and proposals as they pertain to client needs
  • Coordinate work internally within ECS regarding deliverables, fees, work schedules, and client requests
  • Develop and improve our current tracking system for project progress and deadlines to include features related to Special Projects Program
  • Schedule and lead internal training within ECS for specific special project requirements and requests
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities, including participating in marketing and business development activities.
  • Explore other clients' needs and help them by matching with ECS services or outside services
  • Maintain and continually improve client satisfaction with ECS services
  • Assist with other duties as assigned, including acting as Principal Engineer as needed

What We're Looking For

  • BSCE or MSCE degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred

  • PE or PG licensure of able to obrtain within six (6) months of hire
  • 10+ years of related experience; 5+ years in a supervisory role

  • Strong leadership, marketing, business development experience
  • Proven experience leading, supporting, and managing mid-large sized heavy civil, highway/structural/infrastructure/TXDOT projects in the State of Texas, Houston preferred - Proposal through close out.
