Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer II - End User Services!


About the role

As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer II - End User Services you will solve sophisticated business challenges by leading the delivery of quality solutions within the team. This role is responsible for implementation of patterns and practices that ensure alignment to organization security, performance and compliance standards and policies.


What you'll do in this role:

  • Perform installs, configurations, upgrades/enhancements, and maintenance.
  • Monitor and deliver daily, weekly and monthly activities of aligned technologies.
  • Analyze industry patterns and trends of aligned technologies and develop medium to long range plans designed to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness of aligned technologies.
  • Implement design patterns, impacting multiple teams.
  • Be responsible for implementation of a new solution, feature, capability, or practice.
  • Provide assistance and mentorship to all engineers within the team as needed.

Compensation

Salary Range: $121,300 - $202,200 plus eligibility for annual bonus program.


Who you are

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, OR relevant accredited technical certification, OR equivalent work experience.
  • 7 years of combined experience in multiple of the following technology domains: Cloud (Infrastructure as Code, Serverless, CI/CD, Cloud Computing and Storage, Containers, Database), Server (Physical/Virtual Servers, Datacenter, Directory Services, File Services), Network (LAN/WAN, Wireless, Firewall, Security), Voice (Telephony, Phones, Contact Center), Endpoint Management (Client computing devices, virtual desktops, IoT). Lead the refactor efforts.
  • Specific Recent Expert Level Experience with The Following Technologies:

    • Sp Technologies:
    • Intune
    • Application Packaging
    • AutoPilot
    • AWS WorkSpaces
    • AWS AppStream
    • M365 Cloud Platform
    • Bitlocker
    • Windows Defender
    • Scripting: PowerShell, Python,


  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and simultaneously organize work across multiple initiatives
  • Ability to lead design activities and influence system architecture.
  • Proficiency in engineering patterns and methodologies.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Full proficiency with Agile delivery practices. Ability to influence Agile best practices within the team.
  • High School diploma required
