Job Description:

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for the assistance and administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function.

Responsibilities Include:

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing support for various HR employee programs within the organization.



  • Ensures proper onboarding and paperwork completion of new and returning WEST employees, to include all required pre-employment testing, MVR and background testing
  • Assists in the training and orientation of new and returning employees
  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Processes personnel action forms and ensures proper approval and disseminates approved forms to all appropriate departments
  • Drafts, reviews, and signs HR correspondence as directed
  • Ensures up-to-date knowledge on all company policies and communicates to employees as needed
  • Assist in the coordination of benefits to include offers, enrollment, COBRA compliance and communication
  • Maintains full confidentiality in all HR related duties and activities
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with WEST employees
  • Provide back-up and assistance to the HR Manager and other HR employees as needed

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or technical school course work preferred

    • A minimum of one (1) year of job-related experience, preferably in a human resource department or capacity.

After an offer of employment is made, the candidate must successfully pass a pre- employment background check, drug screening, and DMV records check that meets WEST's minimum criteria to operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the company. A valid driver's license will be required.
