Position at Old Republic Risk Management

Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) is currently seeking an Account Manager to join its Account ManagementTeam at its company headquarters inBrookfield, WI. In general, the Account Manager is responsible for providing account management services for large insurance programs.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and coordinate the completion and implementation of various contractual agreements using established templates and draft applicable amendments to agreements to accurately describe indemnification, retention and extra-contractual understandings between the contractual parties.
  • Evaluate renewal security requirements to protect carrier surplus including completion of the collateral requirement summary, coordination of an internal or external actuarial review and request the annual financial review. Communicate your findings to the Account Executive.
  • Provide timely, flexible and responsive account service to Brokers and Insureds to include responses to policy structure, coverage inquiries, policy and endorsement production status, security, billing, and pricing inquiries.
  • Complete a renewal submission underwriting review to include review and analysis of loss information and loss stratification; review and analysis of exposure information, policy and coverage information including confirmation of limits, retention and endorsement forms and exclusions; develop risk specific manuscript endorsement language as needed; and establish renewal premium using internal renewal proposal templates and tools.
  • Coordinate the placement of reinsurance through ORAMCO including communication of desired risk transfer layers, complete internal reference tools to properly classify exposures, and provide additional underwriting information as requested. Communicate your findings and recommendations to the Account Executive. Respond to inquiries and requests from ORAMCO and third party claims administrators.
  • Communicate and monitor internal processes between departments including Accounting, Claims, Statistical Coding, Underwriting Services, Rating/ Audit and R&D to facilitate account service.
  • Perform underwriting file reviews as assigned.
  • At the direction of the Account Management Supervisor, provide training and mentoring to assist the development of Risk Analysts, assist with various projects including the development of processes and procedures to streamline workflow.
  • Other duties assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of two years of related commercial casualty, underwriting, or risk management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working as an Account Manager requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary.Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: This position requires one to sit for extended periods of time and stand and/or walk occasionally. The position requires one to occasionally push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 10 pounds. No personal protective equipment is required. Ergonomic equipment is available to employees.
