Payroll Partner

Payroll Processing:

  • Process payroll for employees in the US, Australia, Canada, and the UK.
  • Audit and process retirement filing for all countries, funding to vendors and accounting reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local regulations and organizational policies.

Workday Expertise:

  • Utilize Workday to develop and streamline payroll processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular audits and system checks to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Review system enhancements & upgrades related to Payroll.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

  • Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements in each country.
  • Ensure payroll processes are compliant with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Facilitate year-end processing/reporting and distribution of W-2 s (US).
  • Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.

Process Improvement:

  • Partner with Director to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for payroll processes.
  • Represent payroll as part of finance, people team and other related team projects and initiatives.

Employee Support:

  • Demonstrate customer centricity by addressing payroll-related inquiries and concerns from employees in a timely and professional manner. Follow-up as appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide resources to employees regarding payroll processes and self-service tools.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in payroll management, with a focus on US, Australia, Canada, and UK payroll processes.
  • Experience using Workday for payroll processing and management in global and fast paced environments.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements in multiple countries.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Strong sense of urgency

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are preferred
