Responsibilities

  • The RN Navigator will work closely with physicians in various specialty areas and will coordinate the patient's care plan communications for the UTHET Pulmonary Nodule Program.
  • Under administrative direction, the RN Navigator provides patient education related to their illness and
  • planned treatment.
  • This position requires a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and is patient, compassionate, and can solve problems with little to no supervision.
  • The RN Navigator will be an experienced clinician with a high-level of clinical competence and critical thinking.
  • They will be providing individualized care coordination to patients and their families ensuring timely scheduling for diagnostic work-ups.
  • They will also facilitate communication between the patient and the patient-care team ensuring the patient receives all required referrals and follow-ups as required.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Three years' experience in nursing in a clinical/hospital setting required.
  • Must maintain current Texas RN License
  • BLS Required

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Masters' Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • One to three years' experience as a RN Educator preferred.
