Position Summary

Test raw material, in-process and finished pharmaceutical and biological animal health products according to a test method.

Hours: 1st shift.

Position Responsibilities

Conduct testing of raw materials and/or finished pharmaceutical and biological products following established test procedures. Basic analytical skills required include reagent preparation, chemical identification, pH, water determinations, titrations, AA, and UV/Vis. Advanced analytical skills such as HPLC and GC preferred.

Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMPs, Company Quality Standards and FDA/EU Guidelines.

Adhere to testing schedules to accomplish a high volume of critical work without compromising the integrity of the results. Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

Required

Two-year degree in a science-based field. The candidate should possess excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Basic computer skills required.

Preferred

BS in chemistry or biochemistry. Two or more year's analytical chemistry laboratory experience.

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

Experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory performing wet chemistry testing and instrumentation including HPLC, GC, AA and UV/Vis preferred. Working familiarity with Word and Excel required.

Physical Position Requirements

This job has a combination of standing and seated duties.
