The Security Engineer - Cleared implements and maintains CDW's Information Security technical controls in accordance with the corporate information security program. The Senior Security Engineer performs the identification, evaluation, selection, design, implementation and optimization of new CDW Information Security initiatives.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Deploys and configures the virtualized environment meeting DISA STIG compliance.
• Installs, configures, and tests security tools like Splunk, Trellix Endpoint Security, QMulos, Tenable Security Center, Tripwire/Aide (client choice), SMIP 2.0 Framework, KASM Workspaces, Vectra AI Platform, and Forward Enterprise Networking Digital Twin.
• Performs assessments and remediation of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. Measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
• Develop, implement and maintain the information security safeguards and measures to enforce CDW information security policies, standards, and procedures
• Consult with internal business partners to identify security requirements and implement necessary security controls
• This role will be approximately 75% dedicated to project work and 25% security operational support
• Provide level 3 support for Information Security
• Lead information security incident response activity
• Participate in weeklong 24/7 on-call support rotation and off hours or weekends as needed
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors
• Minimal travel

Required Education and/or Experience Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility

• Masters degree in a technical field with limited experience or Bachelors degree in a technical field and 2 to 5 years of related experience or Associates degree in a technical field and 5 to 10 years of related experience.

• Requires general knowledge and understanding in area of expertise and associated equipment, processes or systems.
