Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Operational Analytics to join our team. In this position, you are a key member of the analytics leadership team and act as a strategic partner to senior management; will be hands-on and will lead efforts to support the business in strategic decision-making, strategic initiatives, budgeting and forecasting, operating and long-range plans and reporting; responsible for aggregating and analyzing data to provide key insights that drives the company's strategic decisions, financial forecasts and operating plans.

  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical projects and actionable insights
  • Adept at working under pressure and within short time constraints
  • Collaborate and collaborate with business owners to structure and deliver on-point analyses that inform business decisions
  • Development of presentations for a range of audiences, including senior executives and board members with attention to detail, the ability to highlight the most important business topics, and a focus on actionable recommendations to address business needs
  • Drive data accuracy and consistency across all departments within the organization
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational optimization through data-driven insights
  • Independent and proactive work style and inquisitive demeanor
  • Manage and develop team members
  • Manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
  • Manage report requests and assign to analysts
  • Plan and anticipate potential problems with the ability to adapt nimbly
  • Proven record of accomplishment of using analytics to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency
  • Provide insight into analytics team work-flow structure and interdepartmental communication between IT, Analytics, and Operations
  • Provide strategic vision and ability to align analytics with business objectives
  • Represent the team as the owner of reports (building, maintaining, and troubleshooting)
  • Serve as the liaison between IT and the business as it pertains to data and reporting needs
  • Strong project management skills, including prioritization and resource allocation
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on

  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or other relevant, required

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate Degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or other relevant field, preferred
  • Experience with relational databases, including SQL, snowflake preferred
  • Experience with data analytics, operational analytics, management consulting and/or financial reporting, preferred
  • Experience in a dynamic, high growth environment, preferred
  • Five years of related work experience, preferred
  • Leadership experience, preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Business Intelligence skills (Tableau Preferred)
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Leadership and project management skills in a team setting
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of data modeling
  • Work independently and as part of a team
