Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Part-time Specialist III, Care Center performs standard duties to assist the department in providing wraparound services for students. This position serves as a primary point of contact for general information to students, faculty, and staff. A vital aspect of the role is maintaining a general understanding of the policies, processes, and procedures of the numerous services offered. The PT Specialist III contributes to the department in multiple ways, including maintaining the Care Center services including record keeping and service distribution, which are essential for tracking purposes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide essential customer service to all individuals seeking assistance in the Care Center while maintaining confidentiality
  2. Handle incoming calls and inquiries for the Care Center
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of the most current policies and standard operating procedures for the Care Center
  4. Sort, organize and log donated items and other donations
  5. Under direct supervision, manage inventory, stock organization and rotation (expiration date tracking)
  6. Collects needed information from participants via designated tracking system
  7. Provide timely updates and operational insights to leadership (Dean) as needed
  8. Assist with Care Center events
  9. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Position may involve some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or canned goods. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High-level of computer proficiency
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $15.14.
