Application Window Open date: May 6, 2024 Most recent review date: Monday, Jun 3, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Dec 31, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is currently recruiting for a full-time postdoctoral position. This position is available immediately in the Scumpia Laboratory, which is focused on cutaneous systems biology research in the following thematic areas: * Combining RNA-seq, ChIP-Seq, ATAC-seq (including single cell approaches) datasets with transgenic mice and murine models of human disease to obtain mechanistic insights into cells and molecular pathways into skin disease. * Understand the mechanisms of skin fibrosis, regeneration, or inflammation using integrated genomic technologies and cells from transgenic/KO mice. We are affiliated with the following departments at UCLA: * Department of Medicine/Division of Dermatology The ideal candidates must have experience with: * RNA expression profiles, molecular pathway analysis (GO, GSEA, etc.) Interested individuals should have: * Experience with analysis of highly parallel sequencing data: R, A plus, or other coding language but may be acquired via training by our current postdoctoral fellow. * Fluency in English and strong written and oral communication skills: Prerequisites * Permanent U.S. residency or citizenship: Not required * At least one first-authored publication in a peer-reviewed journal * A Ph.D. is required The shared values of the DGSOM are expressed in the Cultural North Star, which was developed by members of our community and affirms our unswerving commitment to doing what's right, making things better, and being kind.
