Tool Service Technician Midvale, UT ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose and repair of pneumatic tools Utilize hand and machine tools to assemble parts of tools and dies and to repair and modify gauges, jigs and dies Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools. Interface with external and internal customers, handle supplier and customer concerns, and work with team members to solve problems during the production process Select the appropriate metals and materials to be used based on properties, ensuring they meet project specifications Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years of related experience and/or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license COMPETENCIES Ethical Conduct Problem Solving/Analysis Technical Capacity Attention to detail Knowledge of industry safety practices Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools Language Skills-The ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. The ability to print and speak simple sentences. Reasoning Ability-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
