JOB SUMMARY

The Global Product Line Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the product lines from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. This role will be responsible for a portfolio of consumables products sold into Animal Health, Industrial, Construction, and Medical markets.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Product Lifecycle Management
    • Determine 5 year growth plans for the product portfolio, in conjunction with market innovation and technology teams, to ensure clear and aligned growth plans
    • Drive continuous simplification mindset, leveraging our Nordson Business System (NBS) approach, in order to focus the business on profitable growth
    • Partner with Technology team to manage product development stage gate processes
    • Build business cases for product investments, including incremental product improvements and CapEx needs

  • Drive Profitability for the Product Portfolio
    • Understand the levers for growth unique to your products and build strategies and growth bridges to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
    • Determine list pricing and evaluate price elasticity.
  • Ensure Cross Functional Alignment
    • Serve as the champion and point person for your products, enabling alignment and decision making
    • Develop standard operating procedures, related to products, to provide the right direction to cross functional teams on standard product questions.
  • Enable sales team
    • Segment, Target, and Position to gain with customers in growth markets
    • Develop Unique Value Propositions for targeted verticals and applications
    • Provide regular product trainings and partner with Marketing Communications on development of marketing tools

Qualifications - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business or sciences fields
  • 5+ years of work experience, with at least 3+ years of experience in B2B companies in a product management, project management, marketing or customer-facing role
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset
  • Experience with stage-gate processes for product development
  • Ability to lead through influence and partner with multiple different functions, including Technology, Operations, and Sales

Qualifications - Preferred

  • Master's of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience working with a corporate business system
  • Experience with injection-molded products or plastic components
