Apogee is actively seeking a full-time Systems Engineer supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) at Ft. Meade, MD.

What you will be doing:

  • Conducting mission engineering studies to guide decisions focused on the end-to-end NC3 mission and identify new or enhanced capabilities and provide impacts of performance levels on NC3 system of systems.
  • Documenting the action of studies, recommending (and coordinating with) study participants, setting up and facilitating meeting, defining timeline and deliverables.
  • Producing engineering analysis reports that recommend to SE&I logical next steps of action based on documented NC3 gaps, studies, roadmaps, plans, and solution sets.
  • Providing system engineering expertise to evaluate and ensure upgrades, integration, test, and transformation efforts of National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC) systems and sub-components are executed as planned.
  • Assessing the NLCC systems and sub-component's ability meet the mission requirements and operate as designed.
  • Advising and assisting the Government in defining of NC3 Enterprise Figures of Merit (FOM) target for model base systems engineering and mission engineering (ME) studies, including Measures of Effectiveness & Performance (MOE and MOPs), as well as other relevant performance criteria targeting measurement at the System of Systems level.
  • Supporting development of a transition plan for the implementation of mission engineering study recommendations and scope, and track execution of specified transition projects that are successfully defended and resourced.

Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have an active TS w/SCI eligibility
Education: High School Diploma
Years of experience: 11 years relevant experience with 2+ years' experience performing analytical problem solving on Information Technology (IT) workflow, organization, and planning with:

  • Ability to work well within a team and to execute tasks independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong command of MS Office suite tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • NC3 experience (desired)

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, or similar technical field with 5+ years' relevant systems engineering experience and 2+ years' experience performing analytical problem solving on Information Technology (IT) workflow, organization, and planning

Regular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.


  • This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.


  • The base pay for this position ranges from $79,000 to $119,000 across the U.S. There is a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training and education.
