Overview

The Associate, Strategic Sourcing supports the Director and Manager of Strategic Sourcing in the implementation and adoption of newly established policies and procedures that drive efficiencies and leverages the buying power of The RMR Group. The Associate's focus will be to administer the national purchasing strategies related to all assigned commodities and oversee request for proposals end to end. The Associate will have oversight of vendor management, ensure policy adherence, and oversee the Group Purchasing Organization relationship.



Responsibilities

    Communicate and maintain centralized policies and procedures related to the procurement of goods and services to ensure best practices and economies of scale are realized companywide.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ongoing supplier evaluation activities and expedite and resolve performance issues.
  • Actively evaluate and document performance of procurement projects and programs in terms of savings achieved and/or value added.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Effectively interact with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Work with Sourcing team on preparing and delivering presentations to all levels of management on sourcing initiatives and achievements.
  • Communicate with key internal stakeholders to understand how the corporate Strategic Sourcing organization can support stakeholder's needs. Collaborate with internal clients to present and test new sourcing alternatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or Certified Professional in Supplier Management (CPSM) a plus.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Proven experience to effectively multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and interpret cost analyses.
  • Position requires ability to have strong attention to detail, and ability to effectively communicate with business partners and management.
  • Ability to learn quickly and solve problems within a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Working knowledge of Yardi is preferred.
