Description

Fenway Health is seeking a Part-Time Psychotherapist (20-29 hours per week) to join our dedicated and multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team. We are seeking applicants with demonstrated experience providing culturally competent behavioral health care to a diverse adult population including LGBTQ individuals, people of color, individuals with substance use issues, survivors of abuse, survivors of community violence, medically complex and vulnerable individuals, young adults, and older adults.

In keeping with Fenway Health's dedication to provide care for the whole person, behavioral health is a fundamental part of our integrated primary care model. We offer individual, group, couples, and family therapy; psychiatric consultation; addiction, recovery and wellness services; violence recovery counseling and advocacy. Our model of care is client-centered, collaborative, and multidisciplinary.

As a full-time Psychotherapist, you will provide direct clinical services to clients that include diagnostic assessments, individual therapy as well as, couples therapy and group therapy. As part of your work, you will help clients address a range of personal issues and life events, including coming out, coping with self-esteem issues, seeking more satisfying relationships, living with HIV, addressing substance use or other addictive behaviors, coping with depression and anxiety, grieving the death of a loved one, coping with and recovering from violence, living with major mental illness. You will also acquire and hone clinical knowledge and skills in providing trans and gender-affirming care.

We have expanded access to all our Behavioral Health services by offering both telehealth and office-based care, enabling us to reach more clients. In order to best serve our clients, this position requires a minimum of 2 days of on-site work.

Requirements
  • Education: Master's in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
  • Licensure: LCSW or LMHC (including those who have passed their LMHC exam but have not completed all required supervision hours)
  • Previous outpatient therapy experience
  • Proficiency in mental health assessment/evaluation
  • Proficiency in providing brief / short-term treatment
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, and appreciation of their effectiveness
  • Ability to complete documentation in a timely manner, and maintain up to date client care documentation
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with colleagues, patients, clients and vendors across the spectrum of diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, national origin and immigrant status, religious or spiritual identity, disability (physical, mental, emotional and developmental), veteran status, and/or limited English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LICSW
  • Experience with LGBTQ issues, HIV, and trauma
  • Experience with substance use disorders, short-term interventions, and group work
  • Experience with couples treatment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to be an effective team member
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multitask

Ability to provide remote-based client care in an optimal setting that ensures:

  • Reliable internet connectivity with a minimum of 25Mbps per household member
  • Consistent access to a quiet, private area (room or office) for conducting private telehealth client care, and private client care-based communication free of interruptions
