Position description The Department of History at the University of California, Irvine announces part time, non-tenure-track Unit-18 Faculty ("lecturer") positions for the 2024-2025 academic year. History 171G: Topics in the History of China History 172G: Topics in the History of Japan History 173G: Topics in the History of Korea History 174G: Topics in the History of South Asia History 175G: Topics in the History of Southeast Asia Spring 2025: History 70A: Problems in History: Asia (Topics Vary) An introduction to the historical problems, the issues of interpretation, the primary sources, and the historical scholarship of the history of Asia, with an emphasis on developing skills in historical essay-writing.
