Job Summary: Responsible for the repair, tuning, and assembling of skis and snowboards.

Applicants must be 18 years of age.

Please note this positions is located at Palisades Tahoe and is not remote.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $18.68 - $24.28 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all customers and employees.
  • Greet and assist every guest entering the store promptly.
  • Service and repair customer merchandise following established guidelines.
  • Resolve customer concerns and problems tactfully and efficiently.
  • Complete necessary documentation and paperwork accurately.
  • Adhere to all area and industry procedures and regulations.
  • Keep knowledge and skills up-to-date with current trends and practices.
  • Follow safety procedures when using tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in sales techniques when required.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Assess customer equipment needs and assist with rental selections.
  • Ensure rental equipment is well-maintained.
  • Train customers on equipment care and usage.

Competencies and Job Requirements:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and safety awareness.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Neat and clean appearance adhering to grooming standards.
  • Punctuality and reliability in reporting for scheduled shifts.

Education and Experience:
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: 1-3 months of customer service or related experience; knowledge of hand tools and ski/snowboard equipment; experience with POS systems.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk, stand, talk, see, and hear throughout the workday.
  • Capable of occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.

Equipment Used in Job: POS system, skis, boots, bindings, ski tuning equipment, hand tools
