Saint Xavier University invites applicants for an experienced faculty for an open-rank Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Mathematics or Mathematics Education. The new faculty will lead the review and delivery of the Mathematics courses to ensure a strong curriculum, effective instruction, and student success. They will teach a variety of Mathematics courses including foundational courses and Mathematics courses for Education students. Training and experience teaching advance mathematics courses as well as curriculum development and review is strongly preferred. The position is available beginning spring 2025 (preferred) or fall 2025. Rank depends on credentials and years of experience; competitive salary commensurate with experience. Saint Xavier University is a Hispanic Serving Institution and has a significant percentage of minority and first-generation students. The new hire will work with faculty and the student success team to support students and improve retention and graduation rates.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Teach a variety of mathematics courses to serve the General Education curriculum, Math Education major, and non-majors.
- Develop the Mathematics courses and curriculum
- Work collaboratively to develop, assess, and revise the Mathematics courses and curriculum through assessment and program review.
- Work with the Education Division and other Mathematics faculty to maintain the Mathematics education programs.
- Hire, supervise, evaluate, and support adjunct and full-time faculty as needed
- Participate in faculty governance and committees as needed.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctorate in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or Education with graduate level Math courses or closely related field.
- Experience developing and teaching undergraduate Mathematics courses
- Knowledge of Mathematics curriculum design
COMPENSATION Salary and rank will be determined by credentials and experience.
