Come join a dynamic team of Systems Engineers architecting today's leading-edge technologies in support of our military and civilian secondary surveillance (IFF) operators. Our SEs support the entire lifecycle of IFF development, from initial proposals to post-delivery validation and test, ensuring a challenging and rewarding career with exposure to all facets of systems engineering. All of our engineering design and test is accomplished at our Farmingdale to provide an immersive experience from start to finish, with close coordination with all engineering disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate would lead the SE effort for small to medium sized programs, including some of the following tasks:

  • Customer requirements clarity and decomposition to other engineering disciplines

  • System Design and Interface Documentation development (IDD, ICD)

  • Support design reviews (PDR, CDR)

  • Generation of Test and Integration methodology and documentation

  • Customer Interface and Interaction through Technical Interchange Meetings, Design Reviews and Verification events

  • Laboratory testing using advanced test and measuring equipment including Department of Defense (DoD) AIMS Certification Testing

  • Post Delivery Field Testing/Support

  • Cost account management (earned value, integrated master schedule support)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics from a four-year college

  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience

  • Generation of systems requirements, design documentation, interface documentation and management of requirements using DOORS

  • Familiarity with standard test equipment (scopes, analyzers)

  • Desirable relevant experience includes:

    • Familiarity with IFF Systems and/or general Military and Civilian Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems

    • Functional knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF), Radar, ATC, or SSR/IFF system elements (i.e. antennas, receivers, transmitters, and processors) is preferred

    • Data analysis using MATLAB, or equivalent

    • Familiarization with IFF Interrogator test sets (AN/USM-719, IFF-45TS, or equivalent)

Other:

  • Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required, airline travel must be acceptable

  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$99,830 - $175,563

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
