About Vision Care Associates Vision Care Associates was first established in 1977 and has grown to 22 locations throughout South Dakota and Nebraska, serving rural towns and large communities. The Optometrists are well-known for being exceptional primary eye care providers who encourage systemic disease prevention, promote eye health maintenance, perform patient education, and diagnose and treat acute and chronic eye disease in a variety of settings. With the continued addition of new services, technology, and the intellectual arsenal of 17 doctors and counting, Vision Care Associates expects to continue its philosophy of "keeping the patient first" for many years to come. The practice focus on patient-centric care combined with the industry's advanced technology to provide the best possible solution for patients' eye health and vision needs. The practice is well-equipped with diagnostic technology to manage all ocular diseases, including, Optos, OCT, iCare, Olleyes VR visual field, and cloud-based software to manage health records and patient diagnostic information. A team of technicians efficiently conducts patient workups and pretesting to enable a smooth practice flow, allowing the Optometrists to spend quality time with their patients. The optical department offers unlimited frame options, featuring collections of designer frames-plus, patients will receive personalized attention from the Opticians who assist in selecting the right frames for comfort, functionality, and personal style. About the Optometrist Opening Vision Care Associates is seeking a talented and personable Optometrist passionate about providing excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. You'll perform comprehensive examinations for patients of all ages, diagnose and treat ocular diseases and vision disorders, perform contact lens fittings, counsel patients and recommend treatment plans personalized for their vision needs. You'll also have the opportunity to explore the specialties of your choice. The position is for practices located in Watertown, Brookings, and Huron, South Dakota (or a possible combination of multiple offices), and you'll have the option to establish your weekly schedule. For the right Optometrist, a future partnership opportunity may be available. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, strong patient communication skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
