Introduction to the job:

As an Human Resources Business Partner, you'll make a real difference as a key member of the HR Team in San Diego, providing strategic HR partnership with the business to support continued growth across sectors. To achieve this, you will use your unique mix of technical, creative and interpersonal skills challenging and advising the business on people and organization related issues and needs. This role also collaborates across the global HR organization, including with the HR expertise groups. This is a hybrid role and requires onsite presence to attend in-person, work-related events, trainings and meetings and to ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

Role and responsibilities:
  • Guide managers and employees through the annual HR program cycle including performance management, salary planning, employee development, and other related annual programs.
  • Deliver HR support to supervisors/managers with focus on high touch coaching and program support.
  • Lead talent selection and onboarding, talent succession and development, employee engagement, employee relations, and organization development and change initiatives.
  • Analyze data and metrics (headcount, turnover, talent movement, HR program execution) and provide recommendations based on the analysis.
  • Partner with the business and talent acquisition on strategic workforce plans.
  • Provide guidance and partnership to managers to develop action plans to enhance employee engagement initiatives focused on organizational climate and culture.
  • Oversee complex employee relations issues including fact gathering, analysis, recommendations, and performance improvement progress.
  • Coach managers on conflict resolution and addressing escalations.
  • Facilitate workshops on various HR programs and development topics such as high performing teams.
Education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior or related degree plus a minimum of 8 years applicable HR experience in talent management and employee relations required.
  • Successful track record of working as a strategic HRBP in a complex, fast-paced, global organization with knowledge in all HR functional areas.

  • Proven experience in leading and delivery of multiple projects and processes at the same time.
  • Strong emphasis on independence, ability to manage complexity and leadership development.
  • Affinity with talent management, change management and/or organizational design is appreciated.
Skills:
  • Strong competencies in consulting agility, change management, people analytics, business acumen, customer focus and team development. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as stakeholder management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, manage complexity and adaptable to change.
  • Results oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Highest standards of ethics.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and HRIS.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$107,250-178,750

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
