MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and five (5) years' of work related experience or a Master's degree in Engineering and three (3) years' of work related experience or a Ph.D. in a relevant, technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires the application of complex, technical, professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent and the extensive, applied use of related concepts, practices and methods
  • Requires a senior level of proficiency to apply significant job related experience
  • Experience with FPGA implementations utilizing VHDL is required
  • May assist others as a lead practitioner


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) experience and experience using XILINX as a development platform
  • RF engineering
  • Experience with schematic capture/ Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Work on a team of engineers to support requirements development, system design, allocation of requirements to subsystems, subsystem development, system testing and integration of complex hardware and software designs, system delivery and on-site integration, and post-delivery support
  • Responsibilities include requirement documentation, preliminary and critical design, integration and testing of complex hardware and software designs
  • Develop, document, and recommend solutions or improvements for technical engineering problems
  • Support the integration of hardware and software into a ground based radar
  • Periodic travel to test locations will be required
