Summary:

In this role, you will act as a provider expert who champions, leads, and coordinates all spend management activity through the spend management delivery team's account planning process and activation of the SM-PMM (Spend Management, Partnership Management Methodology) where required. You will work with provider leadership across all Spend Management categories to understand priorities and build a workplan that aligns Vizient solutions to help solve problems, drive value, and grow the Vizient-provider relationship.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage provider leadership around challenges specific to non-labor spend categories, demonstrating an understanding of healthcare supply chain, including industry trends and leading practices.

  • Utilize Vizient insights and intelligence to bring ideas forward to highlight Vizient value, mitigate risk and to influence Providers in leveraging Vizient to help solve their spend management challenges.

  • Lead the development and execution of account plans, project plans, and workplans by facilitating a collaborative process between provider stakeholders and Vizient resources.

  • Provide mentorship for the team and promote peer collaboration across teams, setting positive cultural tones and sharing best practices.

  • Develop, coordinate, and promote resource stewardship of spend management solutions, delivering influential value propositions to providers that drive strategic integration of tools and services.

  • Interpret insights and intelligence and align findings to Provider priorities and leads spend management delivery team in making recommendations to Provider on category workplan initiatives; Presents benefits and return on investment derived from Vizient tools and solutions, ensuring provider value is realized.

  • Oversight for activation of Provider spend management renewal strategy - partnering with Enterprise Team (where applicable) and Spend Management Sales & Solution Architects on financial modeling, upsells, managing scope approval, statement of work (SOW) generation, and invoicing activities.

  • Drive member value within provider account plans by developing spend management roadmap and activating category strategy, pulling through new spend management opportunities within the defined territory.

  • Conduct quarterly spend management business reviews and/or Project Reviews with supply chain, their executive leader, and other stakeholders to communicate project/roadmap progress, value delivered, and future opportunities.

  • Participate with Enterprise Principal/MPP/PEC in Provider Executive Business Reviews.

  • Weekly/biweekly engagement with Providers' strategic stakeholders across spend management categories to understand the problems they are working to solve, and their strategic financial and operational objectives.

  • Work with product owners to develop and deliver provider education plans that enhance provider knowledge of the spend management services portfolio.

  • Lead weekly/biweekly internal meetings for spend delivery team to collaborate and align on workplan progress.

  • Facilitate internal accountability at Vizient to ensure a consistent Vizient delivery experience with the Provider. Work with an internal team of experts, custom contracting, outsourced resources, Vizient program representatives, advisors, etc. to ensure delivery integration.

  • Enforce standards across all delivery resources for a One Vizient experience in areas such as data representation, meeting consistency, team alignment, data intake, all member interactions, etc.

  • Has overall management of Provider account plan, workplan, and project plan.

  • Maintain customer relationship management database activity updates for assigned territory (e.g., contact information, active opportunities, bookings, provider account plan updates, GAF) to achieve revenue goals.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 10 or more years of relevant healthcare experience required in either consulting, sales, or supply chain management.

  • Proven track record in managing large strategic accounts required.

  • Proven success in leading teams is required.

  • Experience in solution selling preferred.

  • Must be able to read financial reports and comprehend supply chain and group purchasing processes.

  • Must be proficient with all MS Office Products.

  • Candidates residing within the state of Texas are preferred.

  • Willingness to travel

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $273,700.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
