Job Description:

We are looking for a Desk Officer II to join our intelligence program supporting a key government customer. This individual should have knowledge of how to research, write, and analyze using the client's proprietary tools and databases. An ideal candidate will have strong briefing and writing skills, and the ability to work well with a team or individually with minimal supervision.

The Desk Officer II shall possess the following capabilities:



  • Responsible for responding to field requests and communicating with the field to preserve/support operational equities.
  • Communicate and support operational requirements; provide interface between customer equities at home, in the field, and with other agencies on a geographic or transnational issues.
  • Manage and track cases; draft, coordinate, and/or monitor intelligence reports and production.
  • Provide timely guidance, including identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct research and analysis using customer tools and databases; and demonstrate knowledge and/or proficiency in a geographical area or substantive issue.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant customer work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Direct work experience requisite with Labor Category Level (3-7 years for level 2).
  • Ability to confidently deliver clear and concise briefings.
  • Familiarity with cable writing and classified databases, including specific targeting tools.
  • Regional and/or functional expertise in a geographic region of interest.
  • Initiative, creativity, technical excellence, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in supporting intelligence operations.


Desired Qualifications:



  • Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations.
  • Experience identifying targeting leads through the exploitation of all-source databases.
  • Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices.
  • Customer certification as a Desk Officer or Staff Operations Officer.


Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.
