Position Purpose |
Manages as technical lead for admissions system programming and data analytics projects, operating and reporting processes, user training, and system maintenance. |
Description |
Reporting to the Director of Admissions Operations, the System & Data Analyst is an integral part of the Tuck Admissions and Financial Aid team. You will serve as the hands-on technical lead for admissions business operations, systems, technical processes, analytics, and other associated admissions operations activities. You will work with our
CRM, Slate, and apply technical knowledge and analytical skills. |

- Prior SQL coding and JavaScript development experience in the work environment.
- Knowledge of enterprise information systems and business intelligence analytics gained through a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field of study, or a combination of relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience.
- Two or more years of progressively responsible experience in a complex technical environment.
- Experience delivering high quality business analytics using PowerBI, Tableau, or other comparable tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills and high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally under pressure with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with other colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Advanced skills successfully managing and supporting Slate or other educational CRM system.
- Experience with a student information system, such as Banner.
- An understanding of admissions systems ideally derived from two or more years of experience in a complex technical admissions environment at an accredited college/university or similar organization.
- Project management experience with business partners including lead responsibility defining requirements and executing delivery throughout the software development cycle. Hands on work experience with either Agile or waterfall development methodologies.

Key Accountabilities
Description |
Operations/Systems:
- Troubleshoots system-related issues with external and internal users
- Performs maintenance through the admissions lifecycle ensuring data accessibility, workflow management, data feed functionality, and overall system functionality
- Maintains data integrity within enterprise systems (e.g., Slate, Banner, etc.) through careful data management and regular monitoring
- Manages Slate and incoming/outgoing data feeds. This includes all Slate system modules (examples: communications, events, applications, interviews, portals, and evaluation)
- Manages the life cycle of major projects by leading team meetings to identify and document requirements, creating project plans and timelines, creating technical documents and standard operating procedures, implementing functionality, and leading testing for each project
- Ensures continued functionality of a program/project during maintenance and testing of new features, revisiting the development process to fix bugs or address business partner concerns. Provides feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members
- Delivers technical training to admissions and financial aid colleagues
- Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, privacy laws, and industry best practices to maintain high quality control standards
