Summary of Position: The MyDegree Director supports institutional effectiveness and student success. This work involves operationalizing program data to aid students and advisors, automating degree auditing processes, aiding initiatives to help identify and mitigate barriers to enrollment, progression and graduation, and furthering Ferris's ability to plan for and offer courses in response to demand.

The MyDegree Director provides operational and strategic leadership for initiatives and personnel supporting curricular processes and toolsets for students, faculty and staff designed to aid program and course planning, bulletin publication, transfer guidance, degree mapping, advising, graduation audits, and custom reporting, e.g., usage, demand and forecast analyses, etc. The Director collaborates with faculty and staff, and engages students through use experience consultation to continually evolve MyDegree (Degree Works) in support of university priories, curricular processes and the needs of student, faculty and staff constituencies.

The anticipated start date of this position is April 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.

Master's Degree
Required Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience in higher education (e.g., student records and registration, degree audit, enrollment services, academic program coordination, information management, or academic advising administration), and related experience with Banner and Degree Works.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Managerial and Leadership Responsibilities
* Manage MyDegree Team including supervision of full-time, part-time and student staff
* Chair the MyDegree Advisory Board
* Determining, project planning and managing the successful execution of MyDegree upgrades
* Review of curriculum proposals
* Participate in RAM (Registrar, Academic Affairs, and MyDegree) and UCC (University Curriculum Committee)
* Coordinate MyDegree Security/Access Permission
* Attend to administrative management ofticketing system.
* Serve as a key member and leader on select university committees and working groups including, but not limited to,
o ALC-Academic LeadershipCouncil
o CollegeAdministrative and Planning Councils
o DSAAs- Director of Student Academic Affairs
o FACT- Functional Area Coordinating Team
o TransferGroup
o Touchbase meetings with CTO (Chief Technology Officer)
o Touchbase meetings with Registrar
o UCC - University Curriculum Committee
o Academic Senate
* Provide training and development to students, faculty and staff on the use of MyDegree
* Collaborate with the General Education Coordinator and Institutional Technology Services to support general education course listings
* Assure Academic Affairs Checksheet Repositoryis complete and accurate
* Participate in appropriate professional development and training activities

System Administration
* Scribe curricula and curricular changes for all Ferris programs
* Work collaboratively across the institution to develop innovative solutions to program in MyDegree using the Ellucian scribing language.
* Coordinate program-level review and testing; resolve concerns
* Analyze and trouble-shoot system problems concerning degree audits including how the extract from Banner to MyDegree is involved
* Manage the use of existing technologies including serving as the technical administrative liaison between the MyDegree team, the database administrator, and other Banner users such as Enrollment Services
* Review current processes, evaluate, and implement changes for improvement especially as to how we can take advantage of Banner data to improve the degree audit
* Develop reports utilizing the data available within MyDegree and/or Banner
* Provide assistance and serve as a liaison to other key departments for degree audit evaluations for all degree programs
* Stay current with new releases of MyDegree, by researching scribe techniques, participating in the Ellucian E-Commons and the BUGMI users group, and other activities that keep Ferris' scribing current
* Monitor MyDegree email and respond to questions as needed
* Answer MyDegree support line and help users as needed
* Resolvesupport tickets submitted through the TicketingSystem

Additional Responsibilities
* Create curricular program checksheets.
* Support the University Assessment Committee (UAC) to ensure program outcome accuracy and consistency on program checksheets.
* Creation and maintenance of guidance on the production of accessible checksheets and other related university curricular items.

* Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.

* Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Contribute at the college and university level to help advance priorities, including, but not limited to, the university strategic plan, the academic master plan, and the DEIB strategic plan.
