Our Accounting & Finance department is dynamic and collaborative. Role Description: In the role of Program Accountant, you will be part of dynamic team that follows Safety National's Core Values: Relationships, Integrity, Teamwork, Balance, and Stability. Our Core Values serve as the fundamental foundation of our corporate culture and drive our interactions, both internally and externally. You will work closely with our Finance and Accounting department, along with TPA's, Accounts Payable and Investment accounting. Your contributions of ensuring and preparing various general ledger reconciliations will be felt throughout Safety National. Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Program Accountant will include processing claim adjustments related to program accounting in Claim Center. You will also prepare journal entries for claim adjustments in PeopleSoft, but ultimately, you will reconcile monthly program accounts, including loss runs, bank reconciliations, check registers and funding escrow accounts. You may also be assigned various projects like, serving as a backup for other Program Accountants and working on various accounting and finance projects throughout the year. The ideal candidate is someone who has a four year Accounting degree, preferred. Experience and proficient in Microsoft Excel and proficient in complex reconciliations. Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are, ability to understand and analyze multiple types of bank statements, highly detail oriented, having the ability to communicate and the ability to work independently while being a part of a highly functioning team.
