Strategic Communications and Public Relations Specialist - TS/SCI with CI Poly

Xcelerate Solutions provides integrated mission support within an R&D environment in the form of Research Technology Protection, Business, Acquisition, and Financial Management Services. Functional areas within the portfolio to include: Communications and Public Outreach; Publication Management; Plans, Budget & Execution; Business and Acquisition Management; R&D Acquisitions; Industrial Security; Property and Records Management. We are seeking a Strategic Communications and Public Outreach SME to provide communications and public outreach expertise for the content, development, and use of media across all IC client functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide content for the client website applications, including its social media application.
  • Coordinate Government approval of content.
  • Coordinate and manage daily content updates to websites (unclassified and classified) and social media applications as required and approved by the Director (or designee).
  • Develop new media, graphics, and recordings.
  • Create/coordinate Director and Senior Leadership outreach packages to include itinerary development, read-ahead material preparation and post-visit review and update.
  • Provide expert support in coordinating events and executive visits with senior Government, Industry, and Academic officials.
  • Develop professional and executive review public relations materials, documents, and packages.
  • Support Leadership in partner analysis for potential visit sites that would be beneficial to client's research mission.
  • Maintain Senior Leadership Outreach Visit Management and Tracking spreadsheet; record of date, location, and attendees of each visited location or speaking engagement.
  • Revise and maintain bimonthly core news reporters list.
  • Coordinate pre-publication and security reviews for all media content.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree (Public Administration or related field)
  • 7+ years of experience managing media relations and content
  • 3+ years of IC experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communications plans and/or strategies
  • Demonstrated experience setting and tracking metrics of success for communications plan
  • Experience developing high-end visual communications and multimedia products that enhance the client's brand
  • Experience writing social media (Twitter, LinkedIn) and website content based on client messaging themes
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize several multiple ongoing projects
  • Proficient using the Microsoft Office suite of' programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience managing media relations and content knowledge of website content management systems, specifically Joomla and WordPress
  • Proficient using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs to create visually appealing communications and multimedia products
  • Experience in script writing for marketing videos
