Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Rock Island County Jail Full Time; FTE 1.0 Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm (flexibilty needed) The YJRC LMPH or QMPH, will provide Individual and Group Therapy Services to adults housed in the Iowa 7th Judicial Youth Rehabilitation and Justice Center located in Scott County, Iowa. The LMPH or QMHP will ensure quality benchmarks and contract obligations are met. The LMHP/QMHP will coordinate care with EIR Youth Programs Leadership, EIR Care Coordinator's and Juvenile Court Service Officer's . The LMH/QMHP will build strong relationships with HHS, JCS, and community agencies and school districts and other key stakeholders. Why UnityPoint Health?

Responsibilities
- Participate in the establishment of a single coordinated and cohesive service system for children birth to 18 years old (or still in high school).
- Ensure releases are signed for all parties involved.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to youth who are detained in the 7th Judicial YRJC.
- Connect with JCS and families on a weekly basis or more often as needed.
- Reduce family's experience of fragmentation when accessing services.
- Utilize and enhance prevention, early intervention, intervention and postvention community-based interventions.
- Provide short-term facility-based treatment stabilization services as needed until youth and their families are connected to community resources.
- Actively participate in school, JCS, HHS, Community Organization, or hospital staffing to assure seamless services.
- Provide advocacy and support for children, parents, caregivers and guardians.
- Access culturally sensitive alternative supports that will coalesce around the needs of children and families.
- Check in with families frequently to assure services are helpful and are being utilized.

- Reports to the Director, Child/Adol Services monthly as arranged by the Director.
- Ensures that productivity levels are met.
- Submit weekly metrics.
- Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities for children's services.
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of a Master's degree in behavioral health services related field or a Registered Nurse licensed under the Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act (225 ILCS 65. Candidate shall be licensed at the Independent Level Minimum of two-year supervised experience in mental health or human services Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Any required state license by degree/ education or discipline i.e., social work, counseling, nursing. Must have interpersonal and communication skills necessary to deal with a wide variety of clients and professionals with the ability to negotiate and establish effective working relationships with a multidisciplinary healthcare and community service team. Must demonstrate ability to identify and act upon psychosocial needs and work independently in an outcome orientated environment. Strong leadership skills and ability to form professional working relationships with peers. Develop, design, and track metrics and researching outcomes.
