Job Description:

DataFielder is seeking a Senior Information Technology Project Manager/Scrum Master for an incredible direct hire opportunity.100% remote.

As a Scrum Master/IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing the client and public users with access to actionable data and data-driven content. They combine human-centered design and engineering with a deep understanding of data as a product, all in the service of sharing science quickly and effectively. This will expand several functions that are critical to our ability to deliver value to all our users:

?Data Visualization Engineering: Developing data visualization tooling, contributing to common data visualization libraries, and crafting bespoke data visualizations.

Data Engineering: Building data pipelines for ingesting data from programs, transforming them into visualization-ready assets, and publishing them on platforms including data.cdc.gov and CDC WONDER.

?Product Management: Organizing resources, planning for implementation, and tracking progress for our public-facing data channel projects.

?Design: User research, user experience design, interaction design, and information architecture for portfolio of projects?.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply your functional knowledge to coach a development team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed.
  • Apply basic scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems.
  • Using Agile tools, you'll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish prioritized outcomes for project increments within schedule and planned capacity.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Product Manager serving Agile teams.
  • Experience with Agile software project management tools, including JIRA.
  • Experience with facilitating daily stand-up calls, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, road mapping and requirements sessions.
  • Knowledge of project management framework.
  • Knowledge of software development and delivery processes.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal direction.
  • Certified SAFe Practitioner or SAFe Agilist Certification, and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification.
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, to successfully interact with clients, engineers, and managers.
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Preferred Additional Qualifications:?

  • Active CDC badge preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting public health projects.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Ability to coach a team to better outcomes using process improvement.
