The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking to hire two (2) current Columbia University students to assist with federally funded projects focusing on the use of virtual reality to enhance treatment preparedness among newly diagnosed lung cancer patients.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:



  • Administering assessments to research participants
  • Assisting in research protocol implementation
  • Providing support with literature reviews & data collection
  • Assisting with manuscript preparation
  • Assisting with community outreach and recruitment (social media & in-person)
  • Other duties as assigned


This is a temporary position with a flexible work schedule.

This is a grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent upon the grant.

Minimum Qualifications




  • Bachelor's Degree and must be currently enrolled as a Columbia University student.




Preferred Qualifications



  • Excellent communication, organizational, and database entry/management skills
  • Quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis experience
  • Interest in medical informatics, health disparities, and cancer care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Any experience with virtual reality development is a significant bonus
  • Willingness to work weekends/evenings
