Job Summary

The Vice President of Access Engineering will be responsible for driving the roadmap of our HFC and FTTH Network Infrastructure, and driving the technical direction, innovation, and scalability of our Access Networks across our national footprint. The Vice President of Access Engineering will lead a team which is responsible for architecting the network infrastructure and developing the processes to operate and maintain the key infrastructure that provides the services that our customers depend upon. This role is responsible for collaborating across multiple organizations to ensure that the roadmap and processes are fully integrated into the broader Altice USA strategy.

Responsibilities

* Actively contributes toward the vision, strategy, organization and leadership of the Access engineering function.
* Defines and enforces Access engineering best practices, standards, and architectural guidelines.
* Provides technical expertise, strategic direction and guidance to ensure the delivery of resilient, scalable, and efficient Fiber to the Home and HFC solutions. This includes leadership and guidance related to capacity management, monitoring, and performance optimization.
* Provides effective leadership in developing highly engaged, high-performance Access engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
* Leads complex and high visibility end to end solutions through design, budgeting, testing, implementation and performance monitoring.
* Drives the standards and processes for the installation, operations, and maintenance of all FTTH and HFC network components.
* Is responsible for New Product Introduction for ISP and OSP FTTH and HFC network components including the successful completion of lab and field trials prior to general deployment.
* Ensure uptime, security, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure, and establish a culture of continuous improvement through analytics and metrics.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
* Minimum twelve years experience in CATV or Access (FTTH, HFC) Networks.
* Experience transforming and establishing new processes, metrics, and culture.
* Strong technical knowledge across Headend, IP, and Network platforms.
* Ability to analyze data/information and utilize key operating metrics to guide decisive decision making and clearly articulate the decisions to the intended audience.
* Strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to envision, articulate, and plan complex deliverables to align with the company's goals and financial needs.
* Ability to convert strategic thinking to tactical plans and then deliver the plans by breaking them down into manageable components that sum up the overall strategy.
* Strong leadership and management skills; ability to select, develop, and motivate talent to address skill and capability gaps.
* Ability to develop, communicate, and embed best practice procedures both within a large team and across other functional areas.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally at all levels of the organization.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $178,500.00-$255,000.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
