Operations and Compliance Associate

Location(s): Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management 640 5TH AVE New York, NY

Osaic has returned to a hybrid work schedule, so we are seeking candidates willing to work a split schedule between home and the office.

Role Type: Full time

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Associate to join the team within Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management, a member of Osaic. The Compliance Associate will have an integral role with LTAM that entails assisting with monitoring the accounts.

Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000

Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor accounts with systematic withdrawals, restricted positions, pending distributions and any other exceptions
  • Monitor concentration percentages of each fund for trading and risk management
  • Monitor cash flows in accounts for investment
  • Verify previous day's trades
  • Receive and process all account servicing forms for certain platforms (withdrawals, beneficiary updates, address changes)
  • Create dispersion report for accounts with restrictions
  • Organize the annual due diligence process for third party separate account managers
  • Complete external due diligence questionnaires and organize supplemental supporting documentation.
  • Lead mailing of the annual disclosure mailing and maintain the database of active clients
  • Assist in conducting testing on a variety of compliance functions and reviewing of established policies and procedures.

Review internal compliance procedures and workflows to ensure the firm adheres to industry regulations and internal standards

All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Basic Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedicated work ethic and strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to work extended hours to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direction
  • A 4 year college degree
  • Preferred 2-5 years experience supporting a Registered Investment Advisor or licensed financial or as a compliance professional
  • Must possess excellent computer skills and beproficient using Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
