About the Job

Job duties or responsibilities

  • The Department of Theatre at the University of Minnesota Duluth seeks to develop a pool of candidates for part-time Teaching Specialists to teach collegiate level applied lessons in voice.
  • Duties/responsibilities may include service to the Department and/or College.
  • Positions contingent on funding.
  • Note: Being a member of the pool does not ensure a contract will be offered; course offerings, and therefore teaching appointments, vary with demand and available funding.
Qualifications

Required

  • Completed Master's degree or significant progress towards completion of a Master's with known graduation date from an accredited university in a relevant field at time of application.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse groups in educational settings

Preferred

  • Evidence of strong written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.
  • BFA from an accredited institution in a relevant field and a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience. Or MA in Theatre or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of college teaching experience (graduate school teaching experience acceptable).
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $33.33/hour ($250 per credit)
