Community Outreach and Communications Position at Dawson Place The Community Outreach and Communications Position develops and enhances the Child Abuse Outreach Education and Prevention Program at Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center, in order to achieve the following goals: 1) Spread awareness about the services available for child abuse victims at Dawson Place at community events and through social media platforms to help increase intake, 2) Empower child abuse victims and families to come forward and receive the help that they need and deserve to stop the abuse and live safe and healthy lives, and 3) Empower constituents to recognize, respond, and prevent child sexual abuse. Attending multiple community events, school resource fairs and foodbanks along with maintaining social media platforms, structuring educational content and delivery, and establishing chat routines, are a few of the myriads of ways this position will enhance the engagement and communication What you will be performing
