The Stoughton Area School District is accepting applications for a .41 FTE District Educational Assistant (Health) at Fox Prairie Elementary School, effective at the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Details of the position: Thursdays and Fridays and every other Wednesday. 7:45 - 2:00 during the school year, plus 1 additional days in August for back to school conferences.

Job Summary:
The Health Aide is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of safety and health issues for the children in the school and for preparing follow-ups for various health concerns. Reports To: District Nurse Essential Job Functions: 1. Completes such tasks as conducting head-lice checks, administering first aid and medications, and preparing health lists and assisting building secretary with clerical duties. 2. Works cooperatively with staff, students, parents and the community. 3. Complies with the absence policies of the district. Requirements of Essential Functions: Frequent (34-66%) standing, sitting, reaching, and bending in order to help children with health related problems. Marginal Job Functions: 1. Tasks such as the immunization audit and assisting the school nurse with vision and screening and its follow-up. 2. All other duties assigned which relate to the functions of the job. Job Qualifications: 1. Type 40 wpm. (Computer experience helpful) 2. High school diploma or equivalent. 3. First Aid certification. 4. CPR certification. 5. Must have good communication skills (oral and written) in order to work effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community. Candidate Requirements
