Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee and enhance our manufacturing operations, focusing on optimizing processes, project management, improving product quality, and implementing best practices. This role involves leading a team, collaborating with cross functional teams, and ensuring that manufacturing processes align with company goals and industry standards. Essential Functions: Leader that is comfortable working on the floor with production supervisors, ME's, maintenance and operators to keep production flowing and employees safe. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles to drive ongoing enhancements in manufacturing operations. Responsible for development and budget execution of capital projects related to processes and equipment upgrades. Strong project management experience utilizing Microsoft project as a tool to meet timelines and manage resources. Develop tooling for manufacturing: custom machine fixtures, assembly jigs, and standard tooling requirements. Leads development of process planning and NC programming for all new and current programs. Owns capital equipment plan, write-ups for approval and capital project execution. Develops standards for production. Develops manufacturing plans for new equipment. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology and minimum of 6 years prior related experience or Master's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Experience in machining/assembly of engine and/or transmission components. Experience in government contracts. Influence and decision-making skills.
