Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, direct, and monitor activities of maintenance personnel tasked with setting-up, maintaining and troubleshooting assembly equipment and processes to achieve maximum efficiencies with minimal downtime.
- Identify root causes of equipment failure, develop action plan to address causes, assign personnel to respond, and follow up to ensure project completion.
- Develop, organize, schedule, and supervise preventive maintenance programs for all production equipment and facilities maintenance systems.
- Identify current/future maintenance requirements through supportive interaction with management, engineering, maintenance, and production personnel.
- Ensure facilities equipment are adequate and appropriately maintained to support production operations and processes.
- Working knowledge and application of OSHA and safe operating practices, including but not limited to machine guarding, lockout/tag-out, personal protective equipment, and safe maintenance practices.
- Develop and support maintenance staff by leading, coaching, demonstrating, and providing training and discipline to enforce policies and procedures.
- Interact with supervisors and production personnel to ensure maintenance needs are met in timely manner to support manufacturing, production, and quality.
- Develop and oversee capital projects to upgrade equipment and machines to meet current and future needs.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of experience with preventive maintenance controls.
- In depth understanding of production processes and customer service.
- Experience implementing lean management concepts.
- Computer skills in a Windows environment utilizing programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel as well as material planning applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to foster cooperation, teamwork, and to effectively communicate with others.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong professional presence and the ability to interact effectively with customers and suppliers.
- High sense of urgency and the ability to excel in a high pressure environment.
