Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Ensure daily safe operations and crew safety

• Lead and manage assigned maintenance personnel

• Assign and ensure all work is done safely and correctly

• Prepare required reports and maintain data and other records as required

• Provide technical assistance electrical equipment problems to field personnel including areas of high voltage distribution equipment and high voltage motors/generators

• Develop and improve the capabilities of assigned maintenance personnel

Technical knowledge/skills

• Broad knowledge of electrical equipment and systems in a mining/manufacturing operation

• Intermediate proficiency using root cause analysis to troubleshoot and solve problems

• Proficiency in electrical distribution systems, instrumentation and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in PLC programming, debugging and troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance techniques

• Proficiency in planning and scheduling maintenance work

• Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedure.

General knowledge/skills

Leadership/Supervision

• Ability to lead/influence/manage people

• Direct supervision of Maintenance projects and personnel

Education/Experience

• Minimum of High School Diploma, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years electrical experience in operations and maintenance of large industrial plants is required.

Travel Requirements: Limited domestic travel

Working Conditions: Work is performed in enclosed facilities and outdoor areas where extremes of heat, cold, dust, noise, wet conditions and rough terrain exist. Appropriately 30% of the work is administrative in nature.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting/standing, lifting objects (up to 50 lbs), extended regular hours, bending, climbing, kneeling, stooping. Ability to work long, irregular hours and off-shift hours when necessary.
