This position pays a $2500 sign on bonus.

Will earn a competitive salary of $63,814- $80,000 annually with annual bonus potential based on performance.

****This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations,"TRAVELING TO FIELD LOCATIONS AS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES",unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership. What you will do:

The Auto Club Group is seeking an experienced home-based Field Auto Physical Damage Appraiser for our claims business line. Field Auto Physical Damage Appraisers are responsible for delivering world class customer service through in-person appointments to assess cause of damage, inspect vehicles and prepare estimates of damage while monitoring the repairs for the customer/member. Additionally they will review documents, work with members to review their case file and walk them through the auto repair process by handling moderate to complex claims to include Total Loss.

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Have an Associate degree in Business Administration, Insurance or related field or the equivalent in related work experience
  • One year with negotiating claim settlements, securing and evaluating evidence, preparing manual and electronic estimates, subrogation claims, resolving coverage questions and establishing clear evaluation and resolution plans for claims.
  • Completion of the Insurance Institute of America's General Insurance Program, Associate in Claims, Associate in Management or equivalent
  • CPCU coursework or designation, I-Car 2000 training, and CCC training
  • In states where an Adjuster's license is required, candidates must be eligible to acquire a State Adjuster's license within 90-days of hire and maintain as specified for appropriate states
  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Possess knowledge of Fair Trade Practices relating to claims, subrogation procedures and processes, intercompany arbitration, Negligence law and collision repair techniques

Successful Field Auto Physical Damage Appraisers will possess effective communication skills, strong organizational and follow up skills and excellent customer service!

IV. Work Environment

Works in a temperature controlled office environment. Depending on line frequent travel may be required to various repair facilities in order to conduct inspections/re-inspections, visit patients, hospitals, attorneys, rehabilitation centers, repair facilities, etc. per with exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes. For Homeowners and CAT may require deployment to territories impacted by storms.
