POSITION SUMMARY:

Sugarbush Resort is hiring several Lift Maintenance Assistants for each mountain to help the maintenance team as a trainee. The trainee will assist in cleaning, sandblasting, and painting parts of all lifts. Other tasks include the safe operation of lifts for work crews. Some small repairs and lubrication will also be performed under supervision of a senior technician. Assistant will maintain tools, equipment and shop work areas. Shifts are four 10-hour days until the end of the fall, with availability to remain on the team for the winter season if it's a good fit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must operate snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, all Sugarbush chair lifts, hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions, i.e., rain, snow, wind, cold and/or heat.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand on uneven ground.
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently to different worksites on foot or equipment including snowmobiles and ATVs.
  • Ability to perform very heavy work involving exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and lesser weights more often.
  • Ability to lift above shoulder level. Ability to use hands for grasping and manipulating for long periods of time. Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders. Ability to withstand noise, such as from lift motor rooms and other heavy machinery.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Preferably would have lift operation experience and basic mechanical skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
