Summary of Position: The individual will support DCCL students in the Texas cohorts throughout their tenure in the program by:
- Communicating periodically with students and referring them to DCCL and Ferris State University resources as needed.
- Providing onsite supervision and coordination for each of the 15 courses in the program during the face-to-face class sessions. Coordinate on-site logistics as required.
- Participating in comprehensive interviews and presentations (CIPs) and hooding and commencement is required.
- Providing periodic assessments of student expectations and academic progress to DCCL program staff as needed.

The anticipated start date for this position is January 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.

This posting allows for remote work. However, after accepting employment, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan or Texas.

Required Education: Doctorate in education or related field.
Required Work Experience: At least two years of experience in higher education overseeing student-facing programs, in or out of the classroom.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Alumni of the DCCL program.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: * Oversee classroom preparations during each of the Texas cohort's face-to-face (F2F) sessions at the Lone Star College University Center at the Woodlands in Montgomery, TX. Coordinate with their building manager when needed to confirm space and technology needs.
* Provide on-site support on behalf of the DCCL program during face-to-face weekends. Relay any student or faculty concerns to DCCL program staff.
* Demonstrates understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
* Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
* Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.

Estimated Required Time
* Communication (email or phone): The expected time required to communicate with students, faculty, program staff, and building manager is approximately 10 hours/month.
* Face-to-face weekends: There are two F2F sessions in each of the fall and spring semesters, which will require approximately 15 hours on Friday evening and Saturday. In two of the program's three summers, there will be F2F sessions in Texas, which run from Friday to Tuesday, for a total of approximately 30 hours each.
