Job Duties and Responsibilities

In this position, the Human Resources Generalist/Manager will work closely with the Corporate Light Vehicle HR team to provide global HR support in the areas of employee relations, talent acquisition, talent management, training & organizational development, compensation & benefits administration, headcount reporting, AAP and EEOC Compliance, communications, safety, payroll, and other HR administration to the Light Vehicle business unit plants and functional team.

There will be exposure to the highest levels in the organization within this role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Position:



  • Provide generalist support to the Light Vehicle Driveline Systems (LVD) Dry Ridge employees including responding to questions and inquires, assist with employee relations and communications, and talent acquisition and onboarding/offboarding activities.
  • Under the guidance of the HR Manager this role will:

    • Key contact for US talent acquisition related processes for the Dry Ridge, including salaried position request approvals, large scale hourly hiring coordination, salaried hiring support, hiring and onboarding for key positions, and support on special projects for the Dry Ridge - occasional travel to US plant locations will be required.


  • Manage monthly Dry Ridge headcount reporting and position request process
  • Assist with Dry Ridge HR initiatives for the plant such as engagement survey, talent review process, performance appraisal process, Benefits/Open Enrollment, and merit and AIP processes.
  • Talent Acquisition support for the Dry Ridge including scheduling interviews, participating in interviews, offers, and tracking costs and payments to 3rd party recruitment firms.
  • Employee Central data management for assigned population, ad-hoc reporting, and SME for the plant.



Minimum Qualifications of Position:



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 3-5 years HR related experience
  • Strong understanding of HR Law including FMLA, ADA, HIPPA, EEOC, ADEA


  • Natural ability to build strong working relationships with organizational leaders
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize according to management directives
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills, and creativity
  • Good judgment and use of common sense and tact are extremely important
  • Strong computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and prior HRIS exposure are strongly preferred
